Memphis,
TN — Sierra Ward-Pope is a powerful, anointed psalmist who delivers a
soulful yet traditional style of Gospel music and exudes an irrefutable
essence that connects with every listener. Sierra is recognized for her
incredible commanding presence as a singer in the 2X Stellar
Award-winning group Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers, in which she
has been a member since 2004.
In 2015, Sierra accepted
her calling in the ministry as an evangelist. Sierra currently serves
weekly as a Praise and Worship leader at Riverside Baptist Church in
Memphis, TN under the leadership of Pastor Reginald S. Boyce. She has
developed a versatile artistry with the ability to skillfully perform
Contemporary Gospel, Worship, and Quartet styles of music, but holds the
genre of Traditional Gospel music very dear.
In
addition to singing with The Brown Singers, Sierra now makes her debut
as a solo artist. Her first single “But God” is showcasing her prowess
as a principal singer and maturity as a Gospel artist. “But God” is
written by Pope, Kevin Davidson and song producer Richard Robinson.
“But
God” is a precursor to Sierra’s forthcoming solo album which will
consist of an innovatively articulated musical blend of the traditional
Gospel she loves to sing creatively interlaced with Inspirational Soul.
Her single is available now on all digital music platforms and her debut
album will be available later this year.
Sierra’s
venture as a solo artist is setting a solid course for her to be
recognized as one of Gospel music’s most dynamic leading ladies of song.
