Gospel minister and songwriter, Adebukola Akinkunmi, returns with a new single titled “AYE NLA (Big World)”.
A song that likens life’s journey to a vast ocean — reminding every listener that only those who hold firmly to Jesus, the Tree of Life, can cross safely. It is a heartfelt call to salvation and a reminder of our need for continuous establishment and growth in the Faith.
“Aye Nlá was written 11 years ago, and it has always been a song close to my heart. It speaks to how life can sometimes feel like a vast, overwhelming ocean—and reminds us of our deep need for a Savior, the One who is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). The song calls us to hold on with both hands—and with our whole selves—trusting Him completely until we see His face.
Over the years, Aye Nlá has been ministered live in my local church, and I’ve witnessed how God uses it to bring peace and stillness to the hearts of listeners. Each testimony reaffirms that this is more than music—it’s a gospel ministration, a message of hope, calm, and assurance that we are never alone in the storms of life. It reminds us that we can choose Him and hold on to Him with everything He has given us (Psalm 46:1).
This project made up of eight singles—reflects my journey of waiting on God’s vision to unfold in His perfect timing (Habakkuk 2:2–3). Aye Nlá stands as a reminder to me, and to all who listen, that holding on to God is always worth it.”

Adebukola Akinkunmi is a gospel songwriter, minister, and worshiper whose music flows from a deep well of encounters with God. A Family Nurse Practitioner and public health advocate, she is passionate about advancing God’s Kingdom and supporting education for underserved communities. Her supernatural journey began on March 23, 2014, when she received the gift of salvation—a turning point that continues to shape her destiny.
