When we pray, we receive grace to be accurate, in line with God's purpose. We also receive the capacity to serve as channels through which the Spirit of prayer is released to other people. On account of this, leaders are raised with so much wisdom to manage what God wants to do. This is the human capacity growth expected of the body of Christ. Any departure from the culture of prayer lands us in a state where we merely get busy without necessarily doing what is required of us. God says, "GO BACK TO THE PLACE OF PRAYER AND SEEK THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME." When God finds a willing functionary, He establishes a covenant with him, and makes him a conduit through which God reaches out to people and nations. The apostolic recipe for growth is prayer and the word.
